Pay per click is an advertising medium that is gaining more popularity each day. The most effective and most important is the Google AdWords program. If you have a product or service you want to advertise that you pay Google to show your ad whenever someone searched for specific keywords and that is how PPC works. I’ll show you how to create a PPC campaign might not only converts but when people land on your page. First, in order to have a successful PPC campaign, and as with any advertising, you must know your audience and target. You should know what they want and what keywords they use to find it. Write those keywords in a list. Here are the “secrets” to run a successful PPC campaign: HAVE A DAILY BUDGET CEILING. This may be obvious, but sometimes beginners overlook this crucial and get positively killed. Looking at your budget available to start, you can nail the keywords you want and pay what you want to pay and Google will estimate how often these ads will be displayed. Otherwise, you pay, however the number of clicks you get an unlimited budget. In other words, you do not put a cap on how much you can spend in a day. PPC is very expensive very quickly. What’s the general principal for how much a company (firm) should spend on advertising?

I talked to my teacher about it and he’s not looking for a number. He’s looking for something along the lines of “a firm should spend as much on advertising as it needs to for the marginal utility of money spent on advertising equals the marginal utility of another customer.” I said that to him and he said I was on the right track. Can anyone help me improve it?

Can I charge advertising agencies a fee for placing cookies on my computer?

I periodically have to clean out tracking cookies from my computer… The usual suspects, including euroclick [now trading as Adconion], etc.

These uninvited guests take up my time [as housemaid, cleaning up after them], and my real estate [space on my computer].

Can I charge them a fee?

What minor goes best for an Advertising major?

I am majoring in Advertising, but I’m not sure about what to minor in (Area of Concentration). I like the creative track; not so much the sales part of it. Any subjects I should take up in specific? I want to be able to compliment my major in a useful manner so it’s not just a useless “on-the-side”. I like drawing and creating if that helps.
