What minor goes best for an Advertising major?
Saturday, February 20th, 2010I am majoring in Advertising, but I’m not sure about what to minor in (Area of Concentration). I like the creative track; not so much the sales part of it. Any subjects I should take up in specific? I want to be able to compliment my major in a useful manner so it’s not just a useless “on-the-side”. I like drawing and creating if that helps.

What is the best program for ripping CDs into MP3s?
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010In my experience, iTunes seems to have an annoying habit of occasionally “mis-tracking” on conversion, with errors in the MP3 (“skips” and whatnot), and Roxio doesn’t properly convert music where there are no “spaces” between the songs, like on Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” where the songs all run together. (I may not have been using the most recent version of Roxio. also, my computer is four years old and maybe just doesn’t have the processing power to use the newest programs.) I am running a Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows XP. I believe it’s got 2 GB or RAM (I upgraded) but again it’s got a 2004 version of Pentium processor (I forget which one). I also try not to run too many programs or processes on my computer, and it otherwise runs pretty quickly. I rip at 192 kbps, into MP3 format.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
