			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Internet is a vast resource for your business. In the first quarter of 2007 alone, American dollar 33. 6 billion retail e-commerce sales. (1) The global reach has expanded the capabilities of your connection with prospects from around the world. But how to convert visitors into customers? What&#8217;s on your site that prompts action &#8211; whether an inquiry or a purchase?&#13;Interactive graphics? Animation? If you think that Flash allows cash, think again. While exciting images may appeal to visitors, they are rarely an effective selling point. People come looking for on your site. They come into your storefront, ready for you to expect from them. Do not make the effort to discover what you are selling and see if that is what they seek. You need to greet them and provide the knowledge they seek. And that goal is reached when you take the time to craft words for your site, also known as writing for the web.&#13;Writing web copy is not quite the same as preparing your brochure or advertisement. Although there must be consistency to reinforce your brand, the nature of the Internet as an information source rather than a sales tool is expected to rethink the way you approach your web copy. Use your own surfing experience as an example. You type in keywords on search engines, then visit the sites that best match your interest. Once you arrive, you find the information you need, right? Would you take the time waiting for images to download or to sit and watch a video? Probably not. You want to find product information at once, with a minimum of clicks. Plus they are clicking, the less time your prospects are your business expenses. Do not waste valuable time navigating your site. Give them what they came for &#8211; information. Here are some basic rules for writing web text that lets you convert visitors to customers.&#13;1. Make it easy for them to learn about you. Your home page should be simple and direct. Shows the key points that distinguish your company. Share your core values. Explain briefly what you sell. The homepage of the home, so do not block the door with clutter so that your message is lost.&#13;2. Impress your audience, not yourself. Be aware of the needs and interests of your audience and write to them. You will not succeed in selling what you want, but what the market wants. Distinguish. Learn more about their frustrations to help you solve these problems. Find out what they need from your company to be happy and then feel free to let them know that you can meet &#8211; or better yet, exceed &#8211; the expectations!&#13;3. Write to your audience. If you are selling computers, make sure your copy of Web site is designed for those who are interested and competent in this field. Do not make the mistake of exceeding your target audience.&#13;4. Optimize. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process that refines your web copy to improve your chances of a high page rank search engines like Google and Yahoo. Each search engine has its own criteria based on an algorithm, but you can certainly help you with your choice of words. Keyword content, for example, is the practice of using your keywords frequently (but appropriately!) On your site. When you write your web copy, keep a handy list of keywords that visitors must use to find your site. Then the peppers in the copy in the appropriate places.&#13;5. Include a call to action. When mapping out your site, note the desired action for each page. What do you want visitors to do? Try the free demo? Subscribe to a newsletter? Contact you for a quote or information? After determining the action, invites the reader to take the next necessary step. &#8220;Click here for a free sample.&#8221; &#8220;Fill out this form to receive our monthly list of free advice.&#8221; Do not assume that the visitor knows what to do. Extend the invitation!&#13;As the Internet continues to grow and evolve, you can capitalize on the unlimited power of this business tool. There is no mystery to writing for the Web. This new medium provides simple connection to more customers. As with any sales tool, you just need to know how to make the right pitch.
